About Us
Pastor Owen and 1st lady Gwen Dixon, leaders of the Victory Word Center Church in Clayton, NC are passionate about teaching the Word of God (the Bible) in simplicity. We thoroughly enjoy teaching the Word to real people to bring about victory in their lives. We enjoy teaching others how to live by faith in God, building/maintaining strong marriages/families and overcoming challenges faced in life, and lastly defeat the enemies that desire to steal God's best in our lives. These are our primary focus in the ministry.
Our Story
Victory Word Center Church was started in Clayton, NC in March of 2012 in our home. With the intent of honoring and glorifying God by teaching the Bible in simplicity in order that people learn who they are in Christ and learn how to pray and worship God in ways that are consistent with the word of God. Our desire is that people will experience and understand God’s love and his desire that all live a life of victory. Services were moved to The Clayton Center not long after starting. After a few years in The Clayton Center, we moved to Knightdale, NC and then back to The Clayton Center until the COVID-19 shut-down. The Church remained on social media for a period-of-time during the pandemic. Recently, in March of 2025, in-person services were re-launched at the Clayton Comfort Suites
